I am an Awesome American!

Yep, that's fo shizzle. Yesterday I served my American civil duties by showing up to my jury duty summons, AND getting picked for the jury, AND then getting voted in as jury foreman! Doesn't get more American than that, folks. :)

I will actually say that it was alot of fun, very "Law and Order"-esque. But I love L&O, so it's a good thing. My favorite books to read are John Grisham books, which are all about trials, lawyers, juries, etc. I was surprised that I got picked out of 30 people for the jury, I honestly didn't think I was that exciting. I am guessing I got picked because, at the very last minute I had to fill out this questionnaire thing for the lawyers, I was hard pressed to answer my 3rd favorite tv show. The bailiff was glaring at me, so I just decided to just throw the first TV show on there that popped into my head- SpongeBob Square Pants.
Yup, who wouldn't want me on their jury! The case was just a drug case- but ended up being much more exciting than I thought it would be. It was full of objections, one corrupt cop, a piece of evidence tossed by the judge (which lost the case on one count for the prosecution), and some yelling drama. I loved it. Thanks to Matt for staying home for me!

In other, unrelated update news, we found out a few days ago that our insurance company denied those crazy people's claims from our accident! Turns out these people totally lied, said I slammed into them as they were innocently sitting there, so luckily our not-so-dumb insurance agent believed us. Phew!

You mean you didn't put Judge Judy for the 3rd favorite? Maybe it was really your first, hehe. No, really kidding. You're absolutely an amazing lady! You could have a career in the courtroom in your future if you wanted, you're totally smart and capable!
