So today was definitely NOT the most fun filled day for me. It was pretty much the opposite- a horrible, painful day. I will start off by saying that the pictures are not for everyone, they may cause queasiness! So, just be warned now! I will try to write enough so that the pictures are far enough down, you don't see them if you don't want to.
After running some errands the morning, the kids and I were playing in the backyard. After 10 min or so, I decided to grab some trash out of the kitchen and throw it away. I grab the trash bag, open the back door, and step RIGHT onto a screw with my left foot. It went all the way in. The screw was about an inch or so long, maybe longer- and really wide. We really had no idea how long it was, we thought it was really long just by guessing from the outside.
So, I call Matt to come home immediately, and I'm crying in pain. Sweet J tried to make it all better by bringing me a bandaid- sweet girl! :) Matt comes home and we head to urgent care. They decide to just give me morphine, since they would have to numb my whole foot, and that would be extremely painful. I get morphine (mommy's version of the 'happy drug' hahah), and then they take an xray to determine exactly where the screw is.
Here's the x-rays! Sweet! I had to get a copy, seeing as I knew it would be a cool xray =)
Then the next two are my actual foot, first with the screw, the just the big hole in my foot. I literally have a huge empty hole in my foot. The doctor took an actual screwdriver and screwed it out of my foot. It hurt like @*#&!!! Even with morphine- holy crap it was the most pain I have EVER felt in my life. So, turn away if you have a weak stomach!

All I can say is OUCH!!!!!! I have chills up and down my arms and spine right now.
Yaahoo Cowgirl, you know how to throw a party!! Save and mount that thing on a velvet background with just todays date on it. Years from now it will still make you cringe. What a story when your kids grow up.

Holy crap! You really got screwed this time! It looks so painful! Your family has had a lot of laughing gas lately, I'm jealous! Take care, I love ya lots and if you need help with the kids this weekend let me know:)!.

My jaw literally dropped when I read that he used a screwdriver to unscrew it from your foot! What??? That sounds soooo painful. Hopefully they gave you some pain meds to use while it heals!

First, I'm so sorry that you hurt so bad! I cannot even imagine, but that is THE coolest story ever! I think you should frame that x-ray and put it on your wall! You are awesome!
