- Jordyn has an immense, overwhelming fear of public bathrooms. She hates them. The smells bother her, the flushing of the toilets scare her, etc. (Can you blame her, really?) This fear results in her not wanting to go potty while we travel. We stopped about 3 hours in on our 8 hour drive for a potty break, and Jordyn spend 45 minutes at a rest stop refusing to go to the bathroom, even though she was telling me she needed to go. That. is. frustrating. She never did go until we made it to Colorado, a good 9 hours after we left our house. Yeah.....
- Jordyn and Ty are now at the point where they can reach each other from their spaced apart car seats. Yeah, this is fun. If either reaches out, they can pretty much touch the other. This makes it fun when they fight over blankets, snacks, movies, stuffed animals, etc. One just reaches out and hits the other. Or they throw something. They are well within launching range. Nice. :)
- Jordyn's new favorite game is I-spy. While driving, she loves to play this game, and thankfully it makes the time pass by quickly, and without any fighting for the time we are playing.
- Tyler likes to make sound effects. At one point, I drove over a rumble strip on the road and Tyler yells out "Whoa! Stinky!", followed by a "Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee U!" moments later. Matt and I thought this was so funny, we purposefully drove over rumble strips to hear him say it, over and over again.
Really, I am grateful that we have children who travel as well as they do. Seeing as Matt and I are definitely car travelers, we will do a lot of driving while they grow up. And we're having a blast in Colorado! woo!
