Dear Eric,
Happy 24th Birthday! Even though I know in Heaven you probably don't really keep track of your years :), we are still remembering them here on earth. 24 seems so old to me for some reason, I still think of you as my little brother. But yet, your wisdom and insight make you seem well beyond the 24 you would be today. You have always been more mature than your age. I have always admired your willingness to stand up for what is right and good, no matter how many nay sayers you encountered. You were always positive; you always had a smile on your face. I love being around you because you always made me happy.
So today, we will celebrate your birthday! We will think of your big smile, your great attitude, and how much we love you and miss you. I often wish I could talk to you, tell you my great story of the day, or watch you play with the kids. But I know that you are close, and you are busy and well taken care of. Happy Birthday Eric. I love you.
