Normal is such a weird word, really. I think our 'normal' changes almost everyday. As we recover physically, but mostly emotionally for all of us after this weeks hard events, we have been trying to keep things as easy and normal as possible for the kids. Lucky for me, they seem to be handling everything ok. My sweet Jordyn has grown up so much lately, and will often reassure me with "Don't worry Mom, there is another baby for us!" She is so sweet and able to comfort us at her young age of 3. She has a tender heart that I love!
I'll freely admit that this has been one of the hardest things Matt and I have had to go through. We often wonder why we had to have this happen to us, and why our hearts had to be broken in this way. But as my heart is bent more in line with the will of the Lord, it is amazing the blessings and comfort that come. It will probably be hard for a while, but we know that there is a purpose far greater for this little baby, and I am lucky to have carried it for even such a short time. And thankfully, Jordyn also realizes this and helps me out. Man, I rely on my 3 year old alot, huh? :) Sometimes it is the childlike reliance on the Lord that I need to remember to have.
So, to continue with my Jordyn theme, I have these pictures I need to post of her. A week or so ago, I was doing dishes in the kitchen when I heard Jordyn tell Tyler that he was stinky and needed a diaper change. I was going to head in the living room in a few minutes to check it out, but by the time I got there, Jordyn had already taken care of it! Ha! Who knew I could have been using her for helping out with diaper changes? And amazingly, Tyler let her do this! I love her willingness to help, in many ways. She actually did really well getting a diaper on him and everything, and even remembered to use a changing pad, haha :). It was such a cute moment.

I love those teaching moments from my kids (well, mostly Will, but Kate surprises me sometimes). Isn't it the greatest!
Okay, I'm WAY impressed with Jordyn. How awesome that she was able to change the diaper all by herself. Does she want to come visit me for awhile. ;)
Wow, your very own diaper changer, sounds great!! WE are excited to see you guys this weekend.
Way to go Jordyn! I've been told it's good to have a girl first, lol!
