The Latest and Greatest

I had this great post about 2009 and ringing in 2010, but it is now embarrassingly late! So, we'll skip it, and I'll just say that so far this year has been GREAT! We have had so many things go right for us, that we are feeling like things are finally starting to fit where they are supposed to for us. And, we've just been busy! So much stuff going on, so here goes the update.

First off, MATT GOT A JOB!!! :) We are soooo excited/happy/thrilled about this one. What a blessing! It's not a full time job, but it works great for finishing school. It was exactly 6 months of unemployment before we finally got a job offer. It's just that bad out there, so we are feeling exceptionally blessed that we got this opportunity. He will be working in the Juvenile Court System, about 20 min from home, and I'm not exactly sure what he'll be doing, but he's now a state employee, and they offered him much better pay than what he was expecting. His boss is totally cool, we can already tell, and they love him. Hooray for Matt! He's such a trooper, hanging in there through all of this. I'm just so proud of his hard work and that things are going better.

This week we also were able to take my little sister to the MTC. We were so busy while she was here, going to the temple, last minute shopping, family dinners, etc. It was such fun to have her here before she went in. Jordyn is super sad to say goodbye to her; she just loves Bethany!! They share fashion tips, and revel in each other's shared shoe fetish. They are destined to be alot alike, I can tell :). And I couldn't be happier, Bethany is just awesome!

They don't let you go in the MTC anymore, so all we have are picture from the parking lot outside the MTC.

I'm sure going to miss this girl! Good luck to Bethany, she'll be awesome.

So, what a year so far! Between the baby, Kirsten going to USU, Kenny graduating, Bethany going on a mission, Matt getting a job, and Mom getting into the CU Master's program, things are going great! woo hoo for 2010!!
