The Birthday Cake

Yeah, yeah, it's been over two weeks since Tyler's birthday... and I had been stressing because I could not find my camera anywhere since his party, and I really wanted to post pictures of his cake and the party. Well, I found my camera today (good timing since tonight Jordyn and I are going to Disney on Ice), and it wasn't that exciting. I only had 4 pictures from the party, AND I was reminded of how un-cool his cake looked. So I really shouldn't share anyway! :) But here goes, for memory sake and all that.

He of course requested Lightning McQueen, and here's the final product. Yeah, laugh away! It's not that great, I'll admit. Although Tyler got the jist of the cake, and he really liked it, so that's all that matters. But the frosting would not work with us, we didn't have the right coloring, and I'm just not that great anyway at making cakes. But it still looks like L. McQ, right?? :)
And Tyler blowing out his candles. He did enjoy the cake, and I was happy he was happy with it.
I am bummed I don't have that many pictures! But Tyler had a great party with all of his cousins, especially the boys since they spent the hours playing Mario Brothers. Thanks for coming everyone! Tyler is happy to be 3, and now talks about turning 4 all the time. Good thing that doesn't happen for a while.

Also, we took Tyler for his 3 year old check up, and for journaling sake, here are his stats:

Weight: 36.5 pounds (85%)
Height: 39" (65%)
Eyesight: About 20/25

I thought the cake was great. Thanks for the party. It was fun. And how fun that you are going to disney on ice. I am sure Jordyn will love it.

The cake was awesome!! You are really good at making cakes. And as long as the kids love them, that's all that matters.
