A New Outlook, A New Look

Last week was a craaaaazy week for us. Among some big changes was the fact that we found out Jordyn needed glasses. And badly! Jordyn is certainly excited about her new look, so we are excited for her.
My pretty little girl!

She picked them out all by herself, which makes them even more special to her. And, they're High School Musical. (No, she has never seen the movie, but apparently still thinks it's cool :) ).

The doctor told us she is farsighted pretty bad. Her prescription is a +4.25 in one eye and +5.25 in the other. I'll admit, I was shocked. Completely shocked by the news. And I'll be honest, I was worried about how this change would affect her life. (I know, it's just glasses, right?) She's only 4. It's hard news to take that your 4 year old can't see. I guess I mostly felt horribly guilty that I hadn't taken her in sooner to get her eyes checked. I was in denial that there might have been a problem at all. But there is, and now it's going to get better. She already tells me she can see everything up close. So that change, is a great change. Now we just have to keep them from getting broken, or lost! :)

Haha, we are on the same wavelength! I just blogged about eyesight/Diego's re-check today. Turns out he's okay for now. Look at Jordyn with her cute glasses!! She looks adorable. And holy cow, her prescription is really strong! She must be so happy to be able to see everything.

she looks absolutely adorable in her glasses.

And, you know, glasses are the new thing. All the cool people wear them. Seriously.

Yay for being able to see!

How did you suspect there was a problem?

She is soooo adorable in those glasses! And how have you managed to keep her from seeing High School Musical?? It's on all the time! Jacob loved it. Okay, so did I. :)

Tara, we are probably going to have to watch it now. Her glasses also say "I love Troy!" on the inside frame, so she is now curious who Troy is. So am I :)

Stepper, I had no idea! It was only due to failing the school eye exam that they told me to take her in. Problem is, that was back in Oct/Nov. I was so in denial, it took us 6 months to finally take her. See, horrible, horrible mother of the year!
But atleast they are fixed now.

Thanks for the compliments, I pass them all along to Jordyn. :)
