Last week, we finally convinced the kids to try riding a bike with no training wheels. I knew atleast Jordyn was ready, but I also figured Tyler would be able to try too, seeing as he has mastered the scooter to a freakishly high level and has great balance. So off we went!
At first Jordyn did it without hesitation, and Tyler was terrified. Jordyn did pretty good! We just need to work on starting and turning. When Tyler saw Jordyn do it, he had to try it! (Good old sibling rivalry, and Tyler has a hard core competitive streak in him apparently). Well, he totally mastered it in just a day or two. He can balance, turn, stop, and almost start himself on his own. And now, Jordyn refuses to try anymore. :) We'll get there. Now she says she's scared to fall and stuff, which she never has before. Oh well, it'll happen!
Silly pictures :)
Uncle Nathan was over and I think he is what helped Tyler learn so fast. If Tyler was feeling hesitant about it, Nathan would offer to race Tyler, and Tyler would then not be scared at all! We used his competitiveness against him... ha ha ha!
Here's Matt out running by him.
Then I told Matt to stay back and watch what happened. Tyler did great!
Then Matt decided to race Tyler on the bike and Jordyn on the scooter. :) I love him, he's just such a great dad!
And here's the one picture of Jordyn I got riding a bike. She was riding her big bike the first day, I just don't have any pictures, only videos. I'll have to upload those later.

Awesome! My nine-year-old can ride a two wheeler yet! He's the biggest wimp.
Way to go Tyler!
That's amazing! I've never heard of anyone as young as 3 riding without training wheelS! Incredible! And go Jordyn! She looks good on that bike! Can't wait to see the video.
Well, I'm with Tyler and his competitiveness. I've got a bad streak in me too. ;) But way too go Tyler!! That story about the two of them is so funny. Kids crack me up. =)
