A Christmas Break Recap

What a crazy last two weeks we have had! I had meant to try and keep up on posting over the break, but it was probably the fastest two weeks of my life! And we had lots going on, it was just impossible to keep track. So, I will do a quick run down of what we did during break.

To start off the break, Matt became sick, in turn got me sick, and then I got Reagan sick. Jordyn and Tyler were not sick at all, because turns out, flu shots really work! Reagan was tested and came up positive for the seasonal influenza that is protected with this years flu shot. I know I know, I should have gotten a shot! It was just one of those things that got away from us. And trust me, I got an ear full from Reagan's doctor. Lesson learned! Get your flu shot! This virus is horrible horrible horrible.

So, Christmas Eve my parents and sister drove in from Colorado. I was just beginning the sickness, and told them I had a cold, but didn't realize how bad it was at the time. We opened one present, and the kids got new pajamas! All three of them wanted footie pajamas. After about 50 tries, this is the best picture we could get of the 3 of them Christmas morning.

Reagan loved opening her Santa gift, she really got into the whole ripping paper off thing. She got a little baby piano. Now, I'm not sure Santa really thought that present through, with the noise level and all... :)

Tyler got Mario Kart. Oh, there's a BIG smile behind that box.

And Jordyn got Pretty Pretty Princess. (Biggest present for her came from Grandma!)

Jordyn got an Easy Bake Oven! She has been cooking up concoctions ever since. She is bound to be a great chef.

Here's Grandma Liz and Kirsten. I should say, Matt was in charge of handing out presents and taking pictures, while Reagan and I just sat on the couch in a daze of flu. So, not much to use. But he did the best he could! :)

Tyler got this nerf gun. He takes this toy very seriously.

The kids got lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa.

After they headed back to CO, Reagan turned 6 months! She was pretty sick, so it's no wonder she didn't want to cooperate. More on this in a day or so....

Then, Tyler started Sunbeams! Now we have two kids in Primary at church, and no kids in nursery! At least not for another year or so. It's weird...

So, it was a good break. Except for being sick and all. That stunk. And now it's back to the daily grind, school, carpools, and never ending homework. Plus, I now have to figure out how to get Reagan back on schedule. Being sick like that just annihilated her schedule and sleeping. Poor girl! We are glad that everyone is healthy again.
