The Festivities!

Tyler had a great birthday! He loves being 4, and tells everyone, I mean everyone, that he is now 4 years old. I'm not sure how this happened, but as with everything else in my life lately, time is just moving too fast. I still remember the day we brought him home from the hospital.

So, first things first. That morning, he opened his package from Grandpa and Grandma Detro. This was a great way to start the day.

Then he was off to preschool. I'm not sure any kid could love preschool more, or their birthday more, so putting the two together was a match made in heaven for Tyler. We took little cupcakes for him to share with his class, and then he came home with a cute card that his they had all signed for him.

Seriously, how adorable are all of those 3 and 4 year old signatures?

He played with Reagan, his second favorite thing to do. They don't look alike, do they? :)

He got out some energy by playing with his friends at the playground.

Then he opened our present. We bought him Gator Golf, and I caught his picture mid-gasp. Kids in heaven.

Then we had cake! He picked Carrot Cake. Is it any surprise, given my last post? He does actually like carrot cake, but he also thought it would have magic powers to make him like a kangaroo. What a funny boy :) Plus, it saved me the trouble of making one. This cake he picked out at Macey's.

He also got a new Mario shirt (he loves it!) and a new Wii game, which he has been playing since 5:45 am this morning, I kid you not. Thanks to Grandma Liz and Grandpa Dave!

My Tyler is such a great kid. He's funny and smart, loud and sweet, happy and silly, loves to play and laugh, and just an amazing kid. We had a rough go at first (colic, reflux, you name it), but I could not have asked for a more even tempered little boy. Easy to please and reason with, he's happy go lucky. We sure love you Tyler!
