Nowadays, things are different. Something has changed, and I find it harder to get out of bed. The problem is not so much with Reagan. If she cries, I hear her, but it takes me considerably longer to get out of bed and make it to her room, especially without a trip or tumble along the way.
Here in lies my problem. Tyler has mastered the art of being *quiet* (more like sneaky) in the middle of the night. He has always been my worst sleeper, from the day he was born, and he has figured out that by being quiet in the middle of the night, I no longer hear him get up and out of bed. In fact, most nights he makes it IN bed with us without me even realizing it until it's 3 am and I find I have no covers, thanks to Tyler. Almost every single night, I wake up to Tyler snuggled up against me, with his head on my shoulder and snoozing away.
I think it's time to start setting some booby traps. What do I do? I canNOT seem to wake up when he comes in, he truly has mastered his technique**. And while I love snuggling with my little guy, I have started waking up with back pain and arm pain from him sleeping on it for so long! :)
**One time, I actually did wake up and hear him open his door. So I decided to pretend to be asleep to see what he did. He was sooo quiet with the door knob. Then I heard him tiptoe down the hall. Once he got to our room he dropped to his hands and knees and crawled his way to the bottom of our bed. Then he climbed in under the covers and made his way up the middle of the bed until he got to the pillow. There, he quietly laid down and went to sleep. I was so shocked by how well he had it down, I couldn't say anything! And I'll admit, it was kind of funny and cute. **
Gotta love my Tyler!

This made made me laugh because Henry used to do the same thing! Drove me nuts!
Grace does the same thing too. And if I do notice her coming in I am usually too tired to do anything about it. Good luck!
Yeah, it seems like one of our kids usually sneaks into our room most nights. I'm usually too tired to do anything about it, though.
I think setting traps is hilarious! Do it!! =)
