The Year of the Book

One of my absolute favorite past times is reading.  I remember as a kid, staying up late with a flashlight under my covers reading Nancy Drew until well past my bedtime.  It is relaxing, and a way I love using my imagination and my brain, and expanding my view on the world.  2011 was a big year for me, reading wise.  I read more books than I have in a long time! Part of that is in thanks to my book club, but I did read well above the one-book-a-month the book club picks.  I'm really proud of myself! And I'm almost 2 books down for this year so far, so I'm hoping it'll be another great year of reading!

Here's my list for 2011, with ratings! (out of 5 stars)

That list would be impressive if it was even just a list of books read over a lifetime. But the fact you read them all in one year is absolutely amazing! What a reader you are!

I was totally a Nancy Drew reader as a kid too! Your list is impressive for last year--I did a lot of reading, but I don't think that much. I'll have to check your list for some new titles.

Wow ... I'm impressed. I'm wondering why you set your goal for only 25 this year when you've already read 2 and it's only January and you read 42 last year. =) You should set your sights higher ... like 75! J/K

I've never heard of that website, I'll have to check it out.

And I was totally a Nancy Drew reader. I LOVED Nancy Drew and I remember reading after lights out all the time. =)
