Since Tyler turned 5, we let him have his very first friends birthday party. He was SO excited, and was a tad upset that I had to plan it for the day after his birthday, instead of actually on his birthday. We let him invite a few of his closest friends, and it all worked out. He wanted an Angry Birds party, so that's what we did!
Here's the cake I free handed. It's not fantastic, but it did the job.

Tyler wanted the set up to be all Angry Birds colors. So red for Red Bird, green napkins for the pigs, etc.
Jordyn did this set up for us. We had paper Angry Birds all over the walls.
The kids sang Happy Birthday to him, and he loved it!

Opening presents with a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds is CRAZY! Did you know that? Yeah, crazy. I think everyone else opened half his presents, it was so funny.
Tyler had such a great time! But I think we're going to make friends parties an every-other-year thing. I was exhausted by the end of the day. Tyler loved loved loved it though, and that's what matters.

And yes, we do friend parties every other year for the same reason. =)
