I've had this post sitting for over a month now, waiting to be written and posted, but every time I try, I get too emotional and decide to postpone it till another time.
We had a tough last week in Utah, trying to say goodbye to everyone, and make sure everyone knew how much we were going to miss them (and DO miss them now!). The kids' friends are one of the thing I miss the most.
I didn't get a chance to get pictures with every person, but here are some of the ones I did get:
Jordyn and Kya, and Tyler and Brennon. How fun is it to each have a friend from the same family?! We miss these guys like CRAZY! Jen is my bud. We worry about things like Ebola and getting pregnant, together. :)

Jordyn and Joe, Jacob and Nora, Reagan and Annabelle. (not pictured: Tyler and Andrew). Again, we miss them SO much! Their mom Hillary is one of my bestest friends ever. We have been friends since we both had our first babies, 6 weeks apart from each other. And therefor, Jordyn and Joe have been friends since they were literally newborns. We have spent countless hours talking and hanging out, and being each other's go to in our motherhood adventures. I miss my Hillary!
Saying goodbye to cousins was really hard. We have loved having so many cousins the same ages as our kids in Utah, and it's been a blast to watch them grow up and play together these last few years. It's so fun to have built in friends, and constant family get together. And of course, we miss seeing Matt's siblings so much! They were the coolest.
These are some of my favorite kids ever. Reagan and Brooklyn are inseparable. Reagan still asks to play with Brooklyn almost everyday. Kiean and Kole (bottom pic) are just the cutest boys, and Tyler LOVED playing with them. SUCH good kids, great family, and I miss my chats with Ashley! Ugh, it hurts to look at pictures!
And of course, Rosslyn. Jordyn's other BFF. (She has a lot of BFF's. She's 9, so yeah). Rosslyn and Jordyn are just two peas in a pod. Playdates that lasted for hours, same classes since Kindergarten, and so much laughing I can't but smile just thinking about it.
Before we moved, each kid had a little party. Jordyn and Reagan both had birthday parties, and so Tyler had a going away party with his friends. It was such a cute way to have fun with his friends one more time before we moved. First, they had a candy Lego building party. These boys took it very seriously! :)
Then we headed outside to play, and pretty soon a game of red rover was underway! Again, this was taken VERY seriously. :) But it was so fun. L to R: Ty, Tyler, Brennon, Kole, Kiean, and Easton.
Other side. L to R: Jacob, Jordyn, Jaydin, Reagan, and Easton again. Ha! In the background is Tristan.
I tried to get a group picture, but you know how successful those can be. :)
It was such a fun party, and I'm so glad they have those fun memories.
Me and Hillary! She's the only one I was able to get a picture with! We had a great lunch out.
Our last pictures on moving day. It may have been small and quaint, but it was ours, and I still miss is terribly. I miss our little town that we lived in for 10 years! I miss our friends desperately. They literally had become family to us, and to our kids. I miss the school and I miss our ward and neighborhood. I miss our amazing open view, and we all miss the horses and cows and all that across the street. Jacob still asks to see the cows. :). I know we made the right decision, but it's hard not to ache it when I look at these pictures. Like I mentioned, we lived here for almost 10 years, and were in Utah for over 11! All of our kids have been born while living in this house, all of them learned to walk here. It's all they had known. We had a good life, filled with fun and friends, and lots of playtime, great walks and views, and a great experience. It was a good house for us, and I'll forever be thankful for the years we had there, for the people we met and friendships we made. Such a blessing, I'm thankful for it everyday.
And then, there's these ladies. Most of whom I met while living in our town home. None of them live there anymore, but we all started there (or close to it) and we're all connected for life. I love these girls, and there's a few more not pictured. I got this picture one night while I knew I was missing book club, and they sent it to me saying that they were thinking of me. I started bawling right then and there, in public. I will be facetime-ing in to book club when I can, but it's not the same. I miss these girls, and their cute kids! They are the best, and they have all played a major part in where I am today as a mom and a person. Love them.
L to R in a cirle: Ari, Ashley, Tamsin, Janey, and Kristen.
Like I said, not everyone was pictured. There are so many more people we miss and said goodbye to. We are enjoying our new adventure here in Colorado, but at times I think it's just a vacation and surely we'll be going home to Utah, our home and our friends, and all will be as it was before. It has been a bit of a rough adjustment (for me, especially), because I do miss everything about our settled life there. But I'm so thankful for "See ya later" instead of goodbyes. I plan on bugging my friends there forever! Muah ha ha ha ha :)

Oh man, Carolyn, this made me cry all over again! We miss you so much, but are glad that Colorado is just around the corner so we know you'll be back before too long. To visit, at least!
