We have had a big week here at our house! Things are fun and exciting, and I have lots of stuff to mention. First up,
Me! I made a quilt. People, this is big. If you know me, you know I don't cook, I'm not crafty, and I certainly have never sewn anything in my entire life. I'm more of a sporty person. Anyway, this baby girl coming has gotten me all motivated to be more crafty and adventurous I guess. So, I decided to make a quilt. Not a big one, but I have tied it and gotten it ready to edge. Ah! This is big! And it's adorable if I do say so myself. Here's a picture, although it's not finished in the picture yet.

Next up, Jordyn! She can read! She has been learning so much lately, and the girl just loves books and reading. This week she read to me a reader book (about princesses :)) all by herself. Jordyn is getting so grown up and smart, and I can't believe how fast time is flying. She was so proud of herself. Of course, she is still in the beginner stages, but wow. She's doing great. I'm so proud!
And last, Tyler! He's potty trained!! Woot!! And it was sooooo easy. I learned after Jordyn that you just can't force it. So we waited, and waited, until he was sure he was ready. I'll admit, I started having anxieties about it when he turned 3 and still had no desire to go potty, at all. But then he did it! In just a few days, he is totally potty trained, and even stays dry all night. So easy! We took him to Chuck E Cheese yesterday to celebrate. He loves being a big boy. And I love that he's potty trained, and that it was cake!

Here's Nathan at c.e.c. Matt is behind him, but you can't really tell. They were very into skee ball.
Tyler playing games. Fun day!
Easter!
For Easter, we tried taking the kids to the city Easter Egg hunt. Well, yeah, that was a disaster. Hundreds of people, most of whom could not read the "4 egg limit" sign, meant that there wasn't a single egg for J & T to find. They were bummed. We'll have to try again next year, and get there an hour early or something. But we did a get a picture.
Then we dyed eggs. This made up for our morning misfortune. Matt even got into the festivities! Getting ready to dye something cool by wrapping the egg in painters tape...
And, the finished product. :)
Nathan and Jordyn having fun.
The biggest surprise came when we woke up sunday morning to 4 inches of snow! So weird. We are all wishing it would just be spring already. So the kids built a snowman. Then it melted.
