Our Vacation

We got back home last night from an awesome vacation to Colorado for a long weekend. It was so fun! We went out mainly for my lil' sister's high school graduation. And now my parents are officially empty nesters, wahoo! :)

We had a great time at Grandpa D's house. 4-wheeling, tractor riding, cow seeing, and helping sweep made the visits super fun for the kids. We love grandpa's house with the 36 acres of land, it's so pretty out there. And now they play host to 29 cows, 14 of them baby ones, and the kids thought it was awesome.

We also were able to see Uncle Kenny and Corbyn in Boulder. That day it got up to about 97 degrees, so we hit the park with a river. It's a nice way to cool off.

Saturday was Kirsten's Graduation day! It was fun to watch and we are excited for her to come out here for school.

And on Sunday Matt and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary! Yay for us! :)

Then, Monday, memorial day, Matt, Kenny, and my dad ran the Bolder Boulder 10k race. Matt did awesome! He beat both Kenny and my dad, although by less than a minute, haha :). It is still a win though.... Anyway, it was so crowded, but so fun. 54,000 people were there just running the race. So in the minute between when Matt crossed the finish line, and when my dad crossed the finish line, 1,100 people crossed in between. It was pretty crowded.
