Well it has become no secret to me that boys are drastically different than girls. For some reason, Jordyn has just never had an incident where she needed a staple in her head. Tyler, however, did today. But he also just likes to keep things interesting around here. Never a dull moment! Oh, the joys! :)
While playing in our backyard, Tyler somehow managed to knock Matt's bike (or something like that happened) and it fell on his head. It smacked him pretty hard with a medal part, then got stuck on him and scratched him all down his neck and back too. Poor guy was stuck, screaming under the bike while Jordyn tried to get it off of him, but with no luck. Luckily I was in the kitchen and ran out quickly to help him.
However, I didn't notice the gushing blood coming out of his wound until a minute or two after I picked him up and was trying to tell him he was ok. Then, I noticed his yellow shirt covered in red! His head was soaked in blood, it was so gross. Poor kid is a trooper though, and let me get him cleaned up. But after we did, it still just kept bleeding so we decided to take him in to Urgent Care and get it checked out. The doctor said he could just staple it shut, and that would be wayyyy easier than doing a bunch of stitches (who knew?).
I was shocked, and Jordyn started freaking out. So I left with her, since neither of us could handle it. The doctor stapled his head shut and sent us on our way! Now he is as good as new. Well, he'll have the staple for 5 days then we go to get it taken out.

He keeps asking if we can take it out yet, and Jordyn refuses to go more than 5 feet to Tyler. So it could be a long 5 days... but good thing is his head is all fixed! Now hopefully we can make it a while before we need anymore drastic fixes. Because I'll be honest, looking at a staple in his head is not that appealing! :)

Wow! That looks like it hurt! Glad he is feeling better. Maybe it is a good thing he can't see the staple.
Wow!! Poor guy. But it does sound like he was very brave. Glad he is okay. I can't believe he has a staple in his head!!
Oh, and I think it's ironic that you posted this. Madison was just asking me about 2 days ago if she could see the pictures of the screw in your foot that you posted awhile ago. I'll have to show her this picture and see if that will suffice her. =)
That doesn't look fun! I hope Jordyn will talk to him again...I guess you said she will go near him when it comes out!!! Funny. Kids are too funny.
