Here is a rundown of a few things that have happened as of late:
- Tyler has started calling me "Mama Carolyn". Nice, no?
- Jordyn and Tyler started sharing a room a little while ago, and we moved Reagan into her own room. It's a double bonus; Reagan is out of our room finally and Tyler has started sleeping through the night on a regular basis! Hooray!
- Jordyn spent a long time practicing writing my intials just like I do. Seeing as I have to inital most of her homework saying she did it, I have a feeling this is going to come back to bite me sooner or later...
- We have started tackling heavy issues with the kids. First up was Stranger Danger. After scaring my kids senseless (they literally stared at me with gaping mouths and wider eyes than you've ever seen, I'm amazed they slept at all that night :)), we had them practice screaming "help!!". It had to be done! I think I finally got the point across about not talking to people they don't know, or climbing in random cars, etc.
-Jordyn and I also had the drug talk. Ha, this one was by accident. Next week is Red Ribbon Week at school, and when she asked me what it meant I told her to keeps kids from doing drugs. Of course, this led to her wondering what drugs even were... etc, etc. Now she's scared of that too.
-Next on our list is fire safety.
- I have seriously started dabbling in the art of food making. I have been inspired by some pretty awesome people with food blogs. The one on my side bar, Our Best Bites, is done by some friends of mine. I have also discovered Picky Palate. Both are great blogs that inspire me to be a more well rounded cook. (Ya know, instead of just spaghetti or Hawaiian haystacks all the time). My sister-in-law Lyndsay has also inspired me to become more crafty! I'll have to get to that in another post.
-Jordyn just told me that she loves me more than I love her. Aw, cute! I think I should end this on a high note then :)

Momma Carolyn, that's great!! I'm so glad that Tyler has started sleeping through the night. Hallelujah!! And I can't wait to see what projects you've been working on. I'm definitely going to be checking out those food blogs. Thanks for the tip!
Yum - Our Best Bites and Picky Palate are my FAVS! And stranger danger is so scary and necessary. Warren is also aware that no one other than mom, dad, and doctors are allowed to look at or touch his privates. I'm pretty sure he thinks we're crazy, but hey - now he knows.
