9 Months Old!

My little princess is now 9 months old! Unlike usual, this last month seemed to just craaaawl by. But now she is 9 months, and I still can't believe it. Reagan never stops making us laugh and smile, and she's just a joy to have.

The biggest news about her right now is that she has completely weaned herself from nursing. And dropped her pacifier. In a lot of ways, she has been a whole new learning experience for me, even though she's my third child. She has done a lot of things completely differently. Like weaning! Jordyn and Tyler never took a bottle, would never take formula. That's fine, they were great nursers and I never had a problem.

Being the third, there was always so much noise. Once she was old enough to want to play with the older kids, nursing became obsolete. I could not get her to sit still and eat, even after banishing ourselves to her room. Then she was hungry all the time because she wouldn't eat! After borrowing formula from my neighbor, Reagan just downed the bottle and it was apparent that I would have to at least supplement from then on. Well, then she just didn't ever nurse except in the middle of the night. And now she's sleeping through the night, so there goes that.

I'll admit, I shed tears over this. I really do love nursing my baby, and the bond that we get from it. I love the time that I had to feed her, just me! It was my time, and mine alone with her. I'm sad that it's over. But I realize that she's got to be fed. And so she is much happier, being able to eat and still watch the action around her.

Wow, that turned into a long spiel. :) This is just a whole new journey for me. I can't complain though, isn't she adorable? I love my baby girl.

Tyler was kind enough to pause his Wii game to help me out with her sign. :)

Her favorite toy is this bouncy ball. She literally plays with it 8 hours a day. No joke. And she loves to sit and roll it back and forth with people. All. Day. Long. :)

My worst child in sacrament meeting (did I mention Matt is now in our Bishopric? Yeah, I'm alone with 3 kids, and she is the worst, always wanting to crawl and stuff)- Loves to eat cheese- Starting to "real" crawl a lot- Loves to be standing- Love Jordyn and Tyler- Get soo excited when "Dada!!" comes home- Laughs hysterically at herself when banging two toys together- Always, always has to have one leg propped up, no matter what she's doing- Likes to throw stuff on the ground and watch me pick it up- Sleeps through the night- Not a great napper- Happy all of the time. :)
