The Egg Drop

Today, Jordyn's school did an Egg Drop for all of the Kindergarten classes. Basically, you take a boiled egg (raw might have been cooler), and wrap it, or do whatever you want to do with the egg so that when the principal drops it off the building, it (hopefully) won't break. Jordyn has been excited for this for weeks now! But, having a surprise party and a funeral to plan this week, I put Matt in charge of Operation Egg Drop.

They put her egg in an empty formula container, filled with cotton balls. Think it broke??

Here is the principal and his assistant on the roof, with Jordyn's container. Just getting to watch people walk on the school roof was plenty to entertain all these kids, but egg tossing takes it to a whole new level.

There goes Jordyn's egg!

See? Egg drop is a pretty big deal.

Even Reagan loved watching. This is Jordyn with some of her friends from school.

Love this picture.

Then I finally got Tyler to join us, and the 3 had fun watching together.

The pile at the end of the toss...

when it then became a mad rush onto the field to find your egg.

And look at that! It cracked. I guess you can't really tell in the picture, but it did. Some did, some didn't.

Jordyn was bummed that it cracked, but she had so much fun. I just love her school and teachers. The best part? I have an awesome idea for when Tyler gets to do his egg drop...

Maybe we'll have to swap ideas. =) Karen had suggested doing a balloon thing and I noticed that several kids at Jared's school did use balloons. I also saw some pretty good ideas with nylons and huggies boxes. =)

Looks like a ton of fun. Love the picture of Jordyn and Reagan sitting together!! What cute sisters!

Oh, and it is more fun if the eggs are raw. We saw some splatter at Jared's. =)

Our school must be lame because we don't get to do any such thing. Sounds fun and cute pictures of the kids.
