Jordyn and Tyler have each been taking an Arts and Crafts class
through the city for the last week and a half, and absolutely LOVE it.
They just can't get enough. So when Tyler came home yesterday, and
said they'd raced milk jug lid boats down a foil river, I thought,
"Hey, I can do that!" I pulled out a bunch of foil, made a little
river with walls, found each kid a lid, and made some boats out of
them. We took them outside, and the kids were just squealing with
delight.
This is when Jordyn proclaimed that I was the best mom ever! We turned
on the hose, and let the races begin. They all got soaking wet, and
laughed the whole time. It definitely gave me motivation to do more
fun and cool things for them. More than the usual park and playground
and friends, which are all great and totally fun, but something
different. I'm going to try and do something weekly from now on.
Now, on to photo evidence.
Our little boats, sailing away.
These pictures I just had to throw in. A bunch of the neighbor kids were out slip'n'sliding, and when they all left, Reagan decided to take the thing to herself. She's become quite adventurous lately, and she was sliding down it like a pro!

That looks like a total blast, I love the foil idea. Jordyn is right, you are the greatest mom ever!
This is genius!
What a ton of fun!! I can't wait to see what else you do. =)
