4th of July Activities

Our little family had a great 4th of July yesterday! First, we decided to get up early (REALLY early) and head up to Provo to watch the hot air balloon launching.  It was our first time going, but I think we'll have to make this a tradition, because it was so much fun! Early, but fun.

We stood out on the field with about a million other people, while they filled up the balloons.

Pretty soon, our spot became crowded with balloons.

Eventually, we were stuck in the middle of about 6 balloons filling up, and no where to go! It was really cool, and the kids enjoyed it, even if it did make them a little nervous at first.

Reagan was obsessed with the Smokey The Bear balloon.

Tyler especially loved watching the flames shoot into the balloon to make them rise up.

Our view of them once they were off the ground.

Up and away they go!

Then, I let the kids have the camera for a bit, and these are some of the pictures they took.

After the balloons, we headed off to Seven Peaks, which was a BAD idea. Holy cow, it was so crowded.  But still fun.  Then we all came home and took some naps. That night we hung out and lit off some fireworks.  Nothing spectacular at all, but it was a fun way to end the night. The kids loved the poppers, of course.

I'm convinced Reagan has forgotten how to smile normally.

We hope everyone else had a fun day, too!

You got some great pictures! The hot air balloons liked like so much fun. Sounds like you had a great 4th.

We'll have to plan a time and go to 7 Peaks together soon.
