A few weeks ago, my big girl turned 7! There's no better way to start off your birthday than opening present first thing in the morning with crazy hair. :) She had some packages that had been sitting, waiting to be opened for a few days, so she was excited to finally be able to open them. She made quite the haul!
Of course, siblings have to help.
New shirt.
Bead set, bracelet maker thing.
New bike bling.
That weekend, Matt's parents were in town from Colorado. So after our morning fun, we went up to Matt's brothers house with his whole side of the family for some fun. Grandma was kind enough to make Jordyn her cake this year, and made a flour cake, with m&m's on top, and cool candles. Everyone sang to Jordyn, and she was queen of the hour. Playing with all of her cousins was a great way to spend a birthday! :)
I just cannot believe my oldest is 7! I don't feel old enough for this (do I say this every year??). But really, it's crazy to me. She's going into 2nd grade, smart as can be. She does great at piano, reading, spelling, making friends, being nice to everyone around her, and is just an over all, really great girl. It's been a blessing to have her in our family. Happy Birthday Jordyn!

10,000 beads! Soon to be embedded in your carpet :)
But seriously: SEVEN?!? I thought we were her nursery leaders? Like, last week. I might need to demand a recount.
Crazy how fast our kids are growing up. Looks like she had a great birthday! I wish I hadn't just been getting back from Girls Camp and could have helped make her day at our house more special!! What a great kid!
