Slowly but surely, I will get caught up on my blogging! At the end of June, Reagan turned the big 2 years old! I think it's funny because she's seemed like a 2 year old to me for a long time now, so it was nice to finally have the number to fit her size and personality. She weighs in at almost 30 lbs (90%tile), and measures 36 inches tall (98%tile). I better start training her to be a basketball or volleyball player, since she's bound to be tall like her mama. :)
Reagan woke up and opened presents right away. A new shirt,
A new Minnie Mouse,
And a new doll house with play figures came from her grandparents. She loves all of it! The doll house has even been a big hit with big sister.
After opening presents, we took her to 7 peaks, then out to dinner, then to build a bear to make her new favorite animal. Build A Bear was the best place to take her! They gave her a big birthday sticker, let her ring the birthday bell, and everyone yelled Happy Birthday to her at the store. You could tell she loved all the attention, it was really cute.
After we came home, we made cake and ice cream. It was a fancy strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, all homemade. SO good. We didn't do a big character or anything, but that's ok, she loves strawberries so we went with that. She told Matt where to light the candles.
She was mesmerized!
Then, she blew them out,
And instructed Matt to light them again. "Here!" she is saying.
Then she blew them out again. I think we did it about 3 or 4 times.
I tried getting a picture, but yeah, this is about how she smiles all the time now.
Some things about Reagan:
She loves to copy people, and do whatever they are doing. Particularly Tyler. This is how she knows how to climb up the to the top bunk, even though there's no ladder. Or how to jump OFF the top bunk. Oy. Or how to climb up all the shelves in the pantry. She hasn't an ounce of fear in her.
She has started talking a TON. I love when she asks for "more vaffles peeeeees!" at breakfast.
She loves to dance, and is often walking around shaking her booty without even any music.
Reagan loves to make people laugh at her, so she's always doing crazy things, walking funny, falling down, etc, to get a laugh. She's already the class clown.
She can pretty much count to 10 forwards, and backwards! I contribute that to playing hide and seek with her brother and sister, a game that she loves.
She eats anything and everything, and a lot of it. I love that she's not a picky eater at all.
She's just such a goof and a fun ball of energy. Matt and I are constantly laughing about everything she does and says. It's so fun to have her in our family! Happy Birthday Reagan!
