A Birthday

Earlier this week, we celebrated Matt's birthday.  Unfortunately, he had to work, but it was probably better since it gave me time to get some last minute things put together.  After he came home, he opened presents. (One thing I didn't get was non-Christmas wrapping paper. Doh!) Luckily he's a nice guy and didn't mind. Too much. :)
The kids were probably more excited to watch him open it than he was to actually open them.

We bought him this 3 set of head lamps he had asked for (along with some other stuff). But these things have been a HUGE hit with the kids. They have to wear them all. the. time. With lights off and everything. Pretty cool stuff.

We had cake and ice cream after. I tried to be cool and make a fancy cake, but long story short, it didn't work out.  I'm not the best cook, so yeah... :) We improvised and it turned out OK I think.

And this is just a random picture I took during present opening. I love Reagan's dark brown eyes!

So, Happy Birthday to the coolest guy I know. He's the best dad, the most caring husband, and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. I know the kids couldn't be happier, and just love him to death.  He's such a good, kind person. We all love you, Matt. Happy Birthday!

Perfect gift, sounds like. You should get another set for Christmas maybe. =)
