Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's day this year was probably the best yet! I think this day is way better than my birthday, because it's celebrated everywhere, by everyone, and it's fantastic. :)

It all started Thursday night when my mom came into town, and we got to play all day Friday. It was a lot of fun to see her, and the kids loved it too. I felt bad she had to leave Friday, because Friday night I headed up to Park City with some of my favorite girls for a fancy overnight retreat at the Marriott. It was so fun!
We ate way too much crap, and stayed up way too late, but isn't that what overnighters are for? It was so, so fun, and I can't wait to do it again! Thank goodness Kristen remembered to take some pictures.

Here we are at like.... midnight probably? We went strong until around 2 am I think. I'll admit, I ain't no teenager anymore and had to take some time to recover the next day, but it was oh so worth it. :) We went out to brunch the next day, then spent the rest of Saturday shopping the outlets in Park City. Ari is a fantastic shopping companion, in case anyone needs one.

Then I got to come home to these 4 cuties. They had purple flowers waiting for me, a box of chocolate covered strawberries, and a big bag of peanut butter m&m's, my favorite! We grabbed some dinner and had a nice night relaxing.

Church was great with chocolate cake and good conversations, then home to a fancy and delicious steak dinner cooked by mine truly, and presents and cards from the kids that they made at school. THEN, Matt surprised me with a new sheet set I've been wanting. It was all so wonderful! Seriously, I was so spoiled.

It's pretty much impossible to get a normal picture, but I love it just the way it is. :)

The best thing is that the kids think they can still throw out a "Happy Mother's Day mom!!" when they're in trouble, and they think I'll melt to mush and let them get away with anything they want. Sometimes it actually does still work.... :)

I am so grateful for these four crazy kids I get to call mine. I am so thankful for my amazing family! I feel so blessed to have them, and to have them love me so much. What a great weekend!
