A few weekends ago, we went hiking up the Grotto with cousins! It was a blast! Even if the water was really high, and it was kinda sketchy in some places...
We still had a great time, and I think they did too. The kids had so much fun taking them with us on the hike.
I was lucky enough to tow this cute cargo around for a while. Phew! Talk about a workout, though! He's an extra 27 lbs just by himself. It was killer, but fun. :)
These were the falls at the middle of the hike. (I forgot to get my camera out till then). The water was really high. Normally you can walk in there and just get your feet wet, but there was no playing in this area today. Way to dangerous. So we looked from the side, while trying not to slide in the mud. It was kinda crazy!
A picture of Lyndsay!!! :)
Then Matt had this idea to cross and carry some of the kids over with him. Ha! He's a daredevil. Andrew was smart and decided to stay by his dad. :)
But Jordyn and Madison decided to brave it and have Matt carry them over. So cute!
The train of people trying to get across one of the bridges. (And look at that, Lyndsay again!!)
Uncle Nathan was nice enough to come too, and the kids used him to the max, making him carry them across bridges, and just in general. Here's the crew of kids + Nathan.
Jacob found it hard to be carried the whole way. :)
A few random shots after the hike.
We had a fantastic time! Can't wait to do another hike soon.
