Chess Club

I am LOVING the new library we have to go to. I miss our old library, it was so cute and quaint, and I knew almost all of the people who worked there on a very personal basis! And while I'm getting there with the new library (you really get to know people when you go there a lot. I mean a lot a lot.), it's so fun to have it be a bigger library because they offer SO many more programs. And so we have been taking full advantage of it.

One of the best benefits is their Chess Club. Jordyn and Tyler have joined, and are just loving it! They meet one hour on a night, every other week. It has been so fun, and especially Tyler finds it hilarious to beat older kids. When he loses it's not quite so funny, but it's been such a great experience for them.

The club is for ages 7 and up, and so Tyler is one of the youngest people there, and there are a lot of teenagers that come. But it's been great to see their personality come out, and become comfortable with older kids, in a new situation.  This week, they split into 2 teams and played one game with giant chess pieces, it was hilarious! So so fun.  I have to stand outside, so I try and sneak pictures when I can. :)

The BEST part of chess club is that I take the kids by myself, and Matt stays home with the little two. I take the older two to chess club and then I just wander and browse and it is HEAVENLY! I love it. I can read, and find books, and it's so relaxing and one of my absolute favorite things to do ever, so the fact that I get a guilt free time to do it is fantastic! I love it. They love it. It's a win win. :)
