Christmas!

I cannot belive that Christmas is over already! It seems like there is so much build up, and now it's gone. We had a fun Christmas! It's so different being here with the grandparents, and aunts and uncles. We had a blast, and it was so much fun! We spend Christmas Eve with my Kenny, Corbyn, and my grandma Audrey who visited from California.
Kenny is always a favorite when he comes over.  He read the kids a story before we went out to dinner.

So, Jacobs new thing is Ring around the Rosie. He LOVES it. He asks to play it all the time, but once we get started, he goes around the room, grabs everyones hand and says "come here, mom!", "come here, kenny!" and he drags everyone one by one until we are all in the circle.  He has super powers, that Jacob, and can get anyone to do just about anything he asks. :)  Everyone was happy to help on Christmas Eve, and helped him do a lot of Ring around the Rosies.

Here he is with my mom and dad, and my grandma, Jacob's great-grandma!

Jacob even got Kirsten (my little sister) to join!

And then Kenny joined, with the other kids. We had some impressive circles going on.

After all the play time, we went out to dinner. Matt and I decided a few years ago that we hated cooking on Christmas Eve since there's a big meal on Christmas. So, for the last few years we just go out. This year we were joined by Grandma and Grandpa.
After dinner, we read the Christmas story and watched a nativity movie. Then the kids opened their new pajamas! We set out cookies and milk for Santa, and tracked him on the computer.

The next morning, the kids were up by 6 am. We have a rule that we don't go down until 7 am, in hope that we'll still get some sleep. HA! They're up early every morning. But we did managed to hold them off until 7, because Jacob was still sleeping. The older three were jumping out of their skin, just dying to go downstairs. So, I woke Jacob up around 7, and we tried to get started. The only problem was that Jacob was NOT ready to wake up. He was pretty grumpy for a while, and wouldn't do a picture. Right after I snapped this one he was yelling "no piture!" at me. Haha.

They found their Santa gifts and stockings and opened them. And that's about the extent of my pictures from Christmas morning. After that we were busy opening presents! It was such a fun Christmas! Every single present that anyone opened, Jacob would oooh and ahhhh and say "Wowwww!" in a cute excited whisper. I think Christmas is already his favorite.

Man, you guys are mean. 7am!! Haha. Just kidding. I think we had a year or two when we had to wait for a sleeping baby and it about killed the kids. =) They learn soon enough.

Sounds like you guys had a great Christmas. I love the ring-around-the-rosies story! You need to get that on video.
