I'm finally catching up with some blogging of fun things we've been doing lately. A week or so ago, we ventured up to Ft. Collins to the Children's Museum of Discovery, and it was a blast! We have a pass to the Denver Children's Museum, and that one is fun, but I think this one was enjoyed more.
Jacob was in pure heaven. I have never seen that kid run so fast, and it was purely exhausting to chase him all over that place, but also so cute to watch his pure joy. He loved it. They all did.
He was brave enough to try out the tornado tunnel with Matt, but freaked out a little when it got really windy. :)
The biggest theme was music. There was so many musical toys and things to test, and hands on instruments. This is something musical, I think when you moved the different colors together it would make a different sound.
They had a band section, where you could play in sync with two guitars and drums.
Reagan's favorite was the drum set.
Tyler like the guitar. (bass guitar? not sure)
They had this cool simulation, where it looked like the water was coming down, but it was all a picture from a computer above. But you had to direct the "water" to the wall to make the "trees" grow. Jacob was pretty fascinated by it. He had fun standing under the "waterfall" area, and you can see the water by his feet splitting like he is really blocking the water. He just stood there for a good 10 minutes, but he was frustrating all of the other kids because they couldn't play with it like they wanted. :) So we moved along.
This was Jacob's favorite, by far. The train display! You couldn't even touch it, and nothing moved. But he would just stand there and ooh and ahh at the trains, in pure heaven. (I have the most pictures of Jacob because I was the one chasing him all over and Matt and the other 3)
Finally I caught up to the others, and I found Jordyn enjoying this musical chair. She is now requesting one for her room. It has iPad capabilities and speakers, and she says its the most comfortable chair she's ever sat in.
The 2 chairs coordinating!
Then they tried out their rapping skilllzzzzz. Maybe one day....
And, the shadow room. You pushed a button, and a bright light would flash, leaving your shadow on the wall for a few seconds.
Lastly, they tested out their Colorado knowledge in a Jeopardy style game. Gotta start training them! :)
If you come visit, we'll take you there to play! Eh? Eh? Anyone? :) It was a fun day.

Okay, that looked SOOOOO cool!! I want to go. I'm totally with Jordyn on the chair. I love, love, love chairs. Don't know why, but I have a thing for chairs so I would love that one. =)
Love all the different activities and especially the music theme. So cool!
I didn't know you have a pass to the Denver Children's museum--I do too...umm, we totally need to plan a day to meet there!
