Mt Elbert

I've got to get these gorgeous pictures up on the blog. Matt and his brother Nathan hiked up Mount Elbert recently, and wow, amazingness. Mt Elbert is the highest point in all of Colorado, and the second highest, only behind Mt Whitney. It comes in at 14,440 feet elevation. They left around 3 am to make the 3 hour drive down, and beat any storms. They came home for the day around 5.  The hike  is about 4.5 miles long (I think!) and they hiked up 4,400 feet in elevation! Phew, that's crazy! But Matt had a fun time, I'm glad he took the time to go.

This isn't them, just some random people at the top. Apparently it was really crowded up there.

Matt and Nathan! Man, he's hot. (Matt, that is).

Love! Maybe one day I'll head up there myself. :)

Wow!! That was some gorgeous scenery. I wish I was brave enough to handle the heights to do that. I would love to see that view! How fun that they got to do that together!
