Yellowstone! What an adventure. This last week we were able to go up for the week and camp with my family, and what fun we had. It was the first time we've taken all the kids on a real camping trip, and I'll admit, I was worried about it. But, the kids are such good travelers, and are pretty flexible, and it actually went pretty well.
I am so thankful that they travel so well! We're pretty seasoned at the car trip thing.
Jacob was checking out the tent. He approved!
The first day we were there, it was cooooold and rainy. We did not anticipate just how cold it was going to be. And we got there in the afternoon so we didn't have a lot of time to head out and explore. But, our campsite was next to a river, so we moseyed on down to check it out.
Poor Jacob. I had all of the kids' jackets in a pile when we were packing up to leave, but somehow his didn't make it in the car. So he was stuck wearing the older kids extra sweaters to keep warm. Which probably kept him less warm, it was too baggy to do any good, really.
Our family picture.
Grandpa was a trooper and carried Jacob. Probably because Jacob was wearing his hat and he needed a hat. :)
Jacob, in one of the oversized sweaters. And a backpack. I thought it was too cute!
We hunkered down in my parents trailer and played games while we warmed up, and waited for the rain to pass. Thank goodness for the trailer!
Cute camper Tyler, he became a pro at starting fires.
Jensen and Jacob had a good time together. Here they are watching the men folk set up Bethany and Miles' tent. They started clapping when the tent went up. Nothing like good ole support!
Jacob wore grandpa's warm down jacket that night, and to sleep. It kept him warm! And he looked cute wearing it.

I'm so jealous!! I LOVE Yellowstone. That has been one of my favorite vacations. And the kids would agree that camping makes everything better. =) I'm surprised by how cold you say it was too! Man! But Jacob is so cute in all those pictures!!!
