Zome tools are the coolest thing since sliced bread! Here's a link, if you've never heard of them. Grandpa D introduced us to them. They were invented by a friend of his, who lives in our town. And they are produced, right here in town, too! The inventor, Paul, hosted a kids Zome workshop at the library a few weeks ago, and of course we had to go. The kids LOVE these things. They keep them busy for hours. We took Lauren and Lexi with us (Jordyn and Reagan's friends) and spent a while there, while the kids built and played and had a great time.
Reagan, Lexi and a few other girls started building this giant tower, it was very cool. Paul (the inventor) came out to help them finish it and try to stand it upright. They were all pretty proud of themselves.
That's Paul in the suspenders. :)
Jordyn and Tyler built this big bridge. Everyone was really impressed.
Lauren and her circus tent.
Then, Paul was showing the kids how the different shapes you build make even cooler shadows. He went on to talking about angles and shadow frames and all that stuff I don't know much about. ;)
We ended up buying our own set from Paul himself, cause we got a good discount buying it straight from him! I highly recommend them for any kid! Super fun and entertaining!
