The Difference Between Girls and Boys

So, Jordyn's afore mentioned friend Joe, and her, have a very strong friendship. They have literally known each other since the day Jordyn was born, and Joe was 6 weeks old, and Hillary was kind enough to bring me dinner after Jordyn's birth. And the rest is history! 5 1/2 years later, and these kids still love playing together.

They are silly, tell bad (as in don't make any sense) jokes to each other and laugh hysterically at them, they compare loose teeth, talk about what kids from their class they will let join their 'secret club', etc. It's super cute.

And of course, they have the occasional talk of marrying each other someday. So one day during a playdate, Hillary and I hear them talking about writing each other love notes. We smile at each other, thinking, Aw they're so cute! We love eaves dropping on them, too. 5 year old conversations are the best.

Jordyn makes her love note.
"Here Joe! It says To Joe, Love Jordyn on the outside, and the inside says 'I Love You!' Do you like it?"

"Yeah, great picture you drew Jordyn! Here's my note to you. I drew you a building! And there's us standing outside the building. Pretty cool huh?"

Jordyn replies, "A building? But, don't you love me too??"

"Well, I did draw a picture of us outside the building!"

Big sigh from Jordyn.

Hillary and I laugh. Even at 5, the differences are so obvious.

Drawing the two of them outside a building is TRUE LOVE! That's so cute!
