One of my favorite things about California is the beach. Oh my goodness, I lovelovelove the ocean. The sand at the beach I find a little bit tricky, now, with 3 little kids who despise being showered down in cold water to get sand off them. But there is something so relaxing, so peaceful, so sobering about sitting on the edge of land, looking out into the endless waters. I wish I was there right now!
We went to Coronado Beach, which is off of the island of Coronado. So, we got to drive over a long bridge over the ocean. So cool!
And when we got there, we discovered golden sand. Really, there was gold sand. Awesome.
My water baby of course loved the water.
Tyler is also a huge fan.
Jordyn loves it, especially with her bff Aunt Bethany.
The gang, with my dad also.
After some good water playing, the kids dug in the sand, and found that quite enjoyable. Of course, this is why they have to be endlessly showered off.
And see that big white house behind them? That will be mine someday.
Another day we headed out to Huntington Beach. We had a great time there, but I did not get as many pictures. We were too busy playing.
Jordyn and Bethany.
My uncle Scott and some of my cousins played a cool game called Kung-Fu. Apparently this is a really popular game among college/school age kids. I had never heard of it, but now my kids are addicted, and teach everyone they can how to play this game. It's actually pretty fun.
Can't wait to go back to the beach!

Looks like tons of fun!! And when you get that white house and move to the beach we will be there visiting you often. =) I want to learn how to play Kung Fu.
DO you know the baby powder trick Carolyn? Baby powder takes sand right off! I never shower off my kids. I just pour BP all over them. Makes them feel all soft too! And smells good! haha.
How fun!!! Love the beach!
Carly- seriously??!?! I have never heard of that trick. That will be a lifesaver next time!
