Last weekend, my parents and us decided it'd be fun to head up to Estes Park and do some camping! They did just buy a new camping trailer, and we were all eager to test it out. It was a busy weekend (although I've learned that every weekend in Estes Park is busy!), but we found a cool spot and set up camp.
Oh, hey there, deer family. You can't tell in this picture but there were 10-12 deer. I was trying to drive slowly and take a picture, I know, not good.
There was this cute little stream by our campsite that we just HAD to go throw rocks in. It was a blast. The water was freezing though! But the kids didn't seem to mind much.
Tyler mid throw.
Jacob mid throw. This boy kept trying to jump in the water. That was an adventure. :)
Gma and Gpa with the kids.
Reagan made me keep taking her picture, and she would do a silly face every time. She thinks she's SOOOO funny. And she is, I love it. :)
A Jacob cheeser.
He does this All. The. Time. Just lays on his tummy to play. So he laid down to find rocks and throw them in.
And then we saw these guys. Big ol' Elk about 5 feet from our car when we were leaving.
So cool!
Gma and Gpa took us in to town for their favorite ice cream place. And boy was it good!
Jacob eats his from the bottom up. That makes for a big mess!
It was cold for ice cream, so we made our way back to the campsite and decided to make smores at the campfire. Nothing like too much sugar when you're on a "vacation", right?? :)
There was also a playground that was a big hit with the kids.
And the clouds were amaaaaazing. Colorado skies are so beautiful.
The next day, we drove up through Rocky Mountain NP, of course. We have LOVED being able to go up here all the time. It is where Matt and I spend our honeymoon, and also individually one of our favorite places to go. Matt has been going here since he was a kid, and just loves it. It is gorgeous! All of the elk are migrating down for mating season, the colors are changing, and it's just so amazing to be in these surroundings. We hope our kids love this place to and have fond memories of going here.
One of the rest spots had a little rock place to wander. Tyler got wayyy too close to the edge and I may have freaked out and screamed at him, but we all survived and it's all ok. It was so fun and gorgeous.
Jordyn. :)
Reagan and Jacob
And our family. Such amazing scenery. I love my little fam, and I'm so grateful we got to spend such fun times up here.
We can't wait to go back!

That sounds like a super fun camping trip. My kids would be jealous! We don't go camping enough for them.
